Free Driveway Cleaning for Disabled Veterans & Seniors
Every month, one disabled veteran or disabled senior in South County gets their driveway cleaned at no cost. No sign-up. No account. No fine print. Just one small ask in return.

A real South County result — the kind of transformation this program is built around.
Why a dirty driveway is more than cosmetic for seniors
Algae and mildew don’t just darken concrete — they make it slick, especially when it’s wet from rain, dew, or a sprinkler. For most people that’s a minor annoyance. For an older adult, it’s a real hazard.
Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults 65 and older, and roughly one in four older adults falls every year, according to the CDC. A slick walkway or driveway is exactly the kind of everyday hazard that contributes to that. This isn’t abstract risk — it’s the same stretch of concrete someone crosses to get the mail, walk to the car, or bring in groceries, every single day.
A senior on a fixed income often can’t justify paying someone to clean a driveway when the money has to stretch to cover medication, utilities, or groceries. That doesn’t mean the hazard goes away — it means it gets lived with.
Why disabled veterans
I’m a Marine Corps veteran. I know what service costs, and I know plenty of veterans who came home with a disability that makes ordinary home maintenance a lot harder than it used to be — the same slip risk applies, often compounded by mobility limitations service gave them.
A lot of “free offers for veterans” out there aren’t actually free. Sign up for this, open an account for that, lock into a service plan to unlock the discount. I’ve seen it, and I think it’s a lousy way to treat people who already gave plenty. This program is the opposite of that on purpose.
This is 100% free. The only ask: a yard sign for one week.
No payment, no card on file, no email list, no review required, no follow-up sales call. The cleaning is free, full stop. The one thing I ask in return is permission to put a small yard sign in the ground for one week afterward, so neighbors can see the work. That’s it — no other strings.
Who qualifies
- A disabled veteran living in South County St. Louis, or
- A disabled senior living in South County St. Louis
Spots are limited and reviewed once a month. You can nominate yourself or nominate someone else — a parent, a neighbor, a fellow veteran. If you’re not sure whether a situation qualifies, ask. I’d rather you reach out and find out than assume it doesn’t apply.
How to nominate someone
Send a quick email with the nominee’s name, why they qualify, and how to reach them — I’ll handle the rest. Or call or text if that’s easier.

Frequently asked questions
Is this really completely free?
Yes. No payment, no account, no email list, no sign-up. The only thing I ask is a yard sign in the ground for one week afterward.
What counts as a disabled veteran or disabled senior?
Any veteran with a disability, or any senior with a disability, living in South County St. Louis. If you’re unsure whether a situation qualifies, reach out and ask — don’t assume it doesn’t.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. You don’t need someone else to nominate you — self-nominations are welcome.
How many spots are there each month?
A small number — spots are limited and reviewed monthly, so nominating early helps.
What if I can’t put a yard sign up for some reason?
Reach out and tell me the situation. The sign is the spirit of the trade, not a rigid rule — we can talk it through.
What's included in the cleaning?
A full professional driveway cleaning, the same process used on paid jobs — documented with real before-and-after photos.
Do you serve my area?
This program covers South County and South City St. Louis. If you’re nearby and unsure, just ask.
Why are you doing this?
I’m a veteran myself, and I’ve seen too many “free” offers for veterans and seniors that come with strings attached. This is my way of doing it the way I think it should be done — genuinely free, no catch.
